As a Christian, what I think they should have done was to just help resolve it instead of bullying the victims and calling them names like ‘whore’. According to the article, the members of the church always complained about their leaders saying they were fond of that especially the females.

He makes a statement by saying “In the ancient biblical story, Potiphar’s wife tries to seduce Joseph and falsely accuses him of having assaulted her”. Other branches, such as Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy, retain an all male priesthood through the present day. Women seeking a spiritual life in these traditions are able to join celibate spiritual communities of like-minded women as nuns.” This made my article and this model similar in such a way that, my article focused on the sexual abuse and sexism in the catholic church and the module also focused on the gender part in the catholic church. As part of that, the issue was fumbled upon because it was mainly women who complained about it. Since they had little role in the church, the issue was always being roughed up.

Which shows how their rights in leadership as girls are still being looked down even in this current century.

The Catholic church before the 19th and 20th century didn’t allow females to partake in some church activities. In the article that I read, the priests and the other leaders mishandled the case because several of the complaints were from the females. Which means there is still a lot of sexism as well as roles depending on gender in Christianity ( The catholic religion to be precise ).
