We, the teachers of English of Destiny Christian Academy attended a one day ELTAN Connect Workshop in partnership with British Council. It was at Belanova Apartments and Suites, Maitama- Abuja.

The main hub of the seminar was on Promoting Digital Literacy Skills for English Teachers in Nigeria.

At the seminar, we were exposed to some technological tools for effective teaching of English that will prepare our students for the jobs of the future.

We were introduced to the use of  ChatGPT, Al Abstracteer, wikimedia, Padlet and others for improved efficiency.

These options are to improve our creativity, enhance time management and to bring about job satisfaction.

We're equally inducted as digital citizens and charged to teach our learners digital communication and responsibility.

Other highlights at the event include: group discussions, anchor segments, question and answer, breakfast and lunch, photoshoots and so on.

It was first of its kind and quite eventful to us.

On the whole and in the stupor of great satisfaction and appreciation, we want to place on record, our great gratitude to DCA management, whose support and permission gave us this exposure.
