Skin scraped against a rough surface. The top layer of you skin wears away leaving you wound fully exposed and exposing numerous blood capillaries, this a really easy way to get an infection due to the wound being overly exposed. In order for the wound to heal properly you need to do the initial Care routine, the wound has to be carefully cleaned, medicated and dressed as soon as possible. In order for this wound not to be infected you have to clean it soap and water and a sterilized solution.

Wounds with smooth edges, this particular wound is a wound you have to act on immediately in order for it not to be infected. With this wound you can go through the initial care by cleaning the surface and all around the wound but this is more of a post care wound being that the wound has to go through the sutures process (this is when threads or strands are used to close a wound kind of like stitches.)

Direct penetration of tissues can introduce the tetanus bacillus into the bloodstream, making the athlete lockjaw

With these particular cases it all depends on how sever the wound is, in this case a person has been stabbed in the neck, you would have to move fast if you don't want them to die. In order to do that you need to make sure the wound is clean before doing anything else, your supposed to clean out that wound because you don't know what or who has come in contact with the wound, then you want to move along to the post care which is where the injury will be stitched up and hopefully the injury heals properly.

Being that the skin has been torn off for whatever reason, the wound has to be carefully cleaned and sterilized and then carefully wrapped ensuring that the wound won't get any type of infection.
