This song is a beautiful song with a powerful story. It tells the tragic and real story of the mental, physical, and emotional labor that women put into relationships and society. It deals with topics of abuse, both mental and physical, weaponized incompetence, and the impact that these relationships have on children watching as they grow up. The song also talks about the many roles women are expected to take on in society, and how women are expected to be mothers, maids, therapists, and so much more while remaining unappreciated. This song means a lot to me as a woman, it isn't often that you hear people talk about these issues in such a format and it made a large impact on my life.

This is the first song I listened to after a bad breakup. It was the only song that I was able to listen to without crying. It was the only song that made me feel happy at the time. This is also the first song I used in an Instagram post after that breakup, it made me feel pretty again. My ex blocked me after I posted with this song, and I just felt so free again. I didn't feel the need to pretend that I was friendly with her anymore, I just felt like I could be myself again.

This song means a lot to me for multiple different reasons. This artist is one of my favorite artists, she is incredibly talented and released this song when she was only 17 years old. She has been releasing covers on YouTube as young as 16 and has an incredible vocal range. This song specifically is the first song I heard of hers and it was shown to me by one of my online friends, her music helped me and this friend bond, and we still talk to this day. The lyrics of this song also mean a lot to me. At first, the lyrics look like stereotypical "angsty teen" lyrics, they are so much more than that. This song was very unusual for a Japanese singer to release, especially since she is so young and a woman. The language she uses isn't common Japanese, she uses much more aggressive versions of words to convey her anger. The song is about the constant societal pressure put on teens in Japan to do everything and do it perfectly. The song is a commentary on how pressured the youth in Japan are and how often they are told what to do and what to be without getting a say themselves. It was very difficult for me to only pick one of her songs because her music, in general, means so much to me. She makes many different types of songs and is definitely worth checking out, even if this song isn't your type of music.

This is a newer song, but it has quickly become one of my favorites. I think this song is a perfect representation of the type of music that I enjoy. The pop rock/pop punk vibes and the sound in general are exactly what I enjoy when it comes to music. Not only do I love the sound of this song, but the lyrics are very relatable to me. The song talks about wishing you had never met someone and wishing you didn't know that someone had gotten worse. The line "But growing up ain't the same as turning into a stranger" hit really close to home for me. It's happened many times between me and someone who I thought I would be friends with forever, only for us to grow apart and for them to change for the worse.

This song was very hard for me because it is the last song of the newest saga of this musical. I know that last sentence probably didn't make much sense so let me explain. This song is from Epic: The Musical. Epic is a musical about the Odessey, it follows the story of Odysseus. The musical actually isn't finished yet because rather than releasing it all at once, the creator has been releasing it in "sagas" based on what part of the Odessey the songs are portraying. This entire musical has made such an impact on the last couple of years of my life. It has brought me closer to friends of mine that I had drifted apart from. I have always been very interested in Greek Mythology and one of my friends has gotten into Epic lately. I get to tell him about how Epic is different from the Odessey which allows me to talk about my interest and then the two of us do deep dives of the songs in each saga. The creator of Epic also started on Tiktok, he originally just had the idea and didn't think he'd make it anywhere. The algorithm showed those concept videos to enough people and now he has over 1 million followers, almost finished the project, and has spoken on plans to make more things in the future. His story of someone who did something just because he was passionate about it and ended up getting such a large following by simply being a little nerdy is very inspiring. His story made me feel like I could succeed in my own passion products as long as I continue working on them and putting my best work forward. Epic isn't like a normal musical so regardless of whether you like musicals or not I highly recommend Epic, the musical work and story are wonderful and there's so much to talk about since it is still actively coming out. Definitely give it a listen.
