Last year, there's a viral agenda where anti-vaccine parents use the excuse of there s a tiny bit dna of porcine in the MMR-II. The motion use this since the religion Islam does not allow its believers to consume anything containing porcine.

However, regarding the post, Wilayah Persekutuan Mufti had come out and release a statement based on the Fiqh and Syariah. They stated that haram substance that is already modified and been mixed to many chemicals which make the porcine dna only tiny bits in the vaccine and change the characteristic of the porcine is okay.

Johor Health, Environment, Education and Information Committee chairman Ayub Rahmat also stated that we all should be reminded that taking care of lives are also wajib (compulsory) hence making it wajib to take medicine.

Vaccine is proven to be helpful and successful since 1796. For me, people should be more aware and accepting towards this opportunity to prevent diseases, before it attacks us. The fear of the "halal"ness of vaccine and the safety aspects of vaccine is understandable but I hope that with proofs of the success and statements from the Mufti, the general public will be more positive about vaccine 💛
