The core of my teaching is that I'm always trying to make it interesting and useful for my students. That's why I often integrate my lessons- bringing all lessons together in one meaningful whole. Children often work in pairs and groups because I think it's one of the most important skill that they should learn. Outdoor education is also something I found very important so I use it as much as possible. Teaching children to express their opinion, planinng, working and evaluating together with children are also part of my teaching.

For some time I've been having big doubts about the traditional learning system. I've been trying to acept modern ways. They need to be acepted by many teachers in Croatia. Wether if it's a project (which I already do in my class) or PBL (which I will adopt) I don't expect the understanding or collaboration from my colleagues or the principal at school where I work. But it doesn't really matter to me. The most important question for me right now is how to adopt and do 'full time' PBL with young student, age 6,7. How to intruduce it to them in more motiveting and engeging way.

The most challenging component will be the core to listen because my student are young. But still all 5 of componets are very important and I need to work on all of them.

Teachers in Croatia are very strict about tests- 'They must do the tests!' I do not follow that. I grade my students in project forms, in a way that they can really use the knowledge not simply reproduce it and then just forget about it. My colleagues don't understand why I' m grading my students like this. So it all comes down to the fact that it's possible to do different type of grading you just need some common sense and a will to change. For better- for students, for future!

Rewieving our lessons among us is a great pressefional development which I tried to put in my school among my colleguages. You guess it, no success! When it comes to students assements, I like correcting test together with children and disscus every grade with them. Their word and grade is usually last.
