One of my favorites that I learned last year at PTAC (Preschool teacher adventure conference) held here in Tomball was
Teacher: Tootsieroll lollipop
Students: We were talking now lets stop.
This one has hand motions too! ^
Teacher: All set?
Student: you bet!
Another attention grabber I use in my current classroom is a bell. I ring a bell and the students stop, freeze, put their eyes on me and put one finger on their mouth and two fingers in the air representing peace and quiet.
