Class of 2022, we are all so proud of you!! Thank you for the time we have gotten to spend together and for all you have taught me <3. I miss you already! My Story :-).....I graduated from Littlerock High School in 1996 (first pic) and headed to Billings, Montana to go to Rocky Mountain College - Go Bears!! I majored in Biology and Secondary Education, and minored in Math and Psychology. I also had the opportunity to play college volleyball (second pic), blessed enough to receive a full tuition scholarship. I graduated in 2001 after a semester abroad living and going to school in Salzburg, Austria (third pic). If I could wish anything for each of you it would be to seek adventures wherever you can. You have your whole life to work and be serious....don't forget NOW to play, have fun, laugh a lot, make memories, seek learning opportunities, find adventures, and give love. I hope if you've learned anything from me it is that LOVE and kindness are really all that matters <3. Love, Mrs. Thibault

Despite all of the challenges thrown your way, you've made it! You've demonstrated your resilience, tenacity, and most of all perseverance to tackle ordinary and extraordinary obstacles this past year. As you take your next steps into the bigger world, always treasure and remember how you got there. Hold tight to all of the special relationships in your life and foster your sense of curiosity. You won't always have the answer and you may need help. Seek to be a kind person, no matter where the road takes you, you never know just how much that can mean to others and even yourself.

Today as you make a commitment to your education I am celebrating with you and hope that you are enjoying these wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime moments!

Hello, class of 2022!!! I graduated from high school in 1994, but I did not have a traditional high school to college experience because I became a mom at 16 (11th grade). In 2016, my daughter became our family's first college graduate from CSUN, and my son will graduate from SJSU in 2023. #proudmom #firstgeneration

I attended a tech school in 1997. I geeked out for a year and learned some nifty computer tech tricks that helped me kick off my career with AVUHSD in 1998. Now that my kids are grown, I am back in school working towards my associates at Eastern Gateway Community College. Once I complete my associates degree, I am hopeful to also complete my bachelor's as well! Keep pushing! Never give up!

I wish the Class of 2022 a life full of many wonderful adventures. Like many of you, my first BIG adventure on my own was college. I look back on the experience with so much joy and happiness. UCI is where I found my passion for research. UCI is where I made great friendships. UCI is where I found great mentors. UCI is where I met my husband. UCI was a great foundation for my LIFE. I always hope to inspire you to have a passion for learning, I try to nurture good, healthy relationships. I wish that you have a life filled with lots of love and support. My 5 pieces of advice to you as you are getting ready for your journey (whether it be college, the military, or entering the workforce) is: (1) make connections; (2) remember that making mistakes is part of learning; (3) use the resources and support systems that are out there when you need help (EARLY); (4) your mental health is important, so make it a priority; (5) you CAN do it. !Si se puede!

I graduated from Mojave High School (Class of 1998) and obtained my Bachelor’s in English from CSUB in 2003. I worked full-time as a 911 Dispatcher to pay for tuition while I studied to become an English teacher. I often worked swing shift or graveyard while I carried a full load of classes. After I became an English teacher, I continued to take classes at night (after a full-day of teaching high school) and studied during the weekends to obtain my Master’s degree in English to become a college professor. I did not qualify for financial aid and had to work really hard to achieve my dreams. I love reading, writing, and learning and was always passionate about continuing my education. My advice is to pursue a degree in something you love and are passionate about and that passion and love will help carry you through when the journey seems impossible. I am beyond proud of how much you have achieved thus far! You are years ahead of where we were at your age! It’s incredible! We are super proud of each and every single one of you! We love you and congratulations on hitting this milestone! This is only the beginning!

30 years ago, I graduated from Northglenn High School in Colorado and began my post-secondary journey at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Upon earning my Bachelor of Arts in English in 1996, I began teaching high school English. As a life-long learner, I returned to the classroom as a student where I obtained my Master of Arts from the University of Colorado but my journey didn't end there... My passion for teaching and serving inspired me to move into administration. In order to do so, I returned to school earning a second MA from Regis University.

Never stop learning! Your education is something that can never be taken away from you. I wish you all the very best!
