Once it's the final minute, everyone counts down waiting for the start of the new year. After being at Times Square for a while after, people either go party with friends and relatives or they go home to get rest for the first day of the new year tomorrow.

What I've Learned this Year

I've learned multiple useful things this year, but the number one thing that I learned is you can't trust everybody fully. Not everybody is who they seem to be, even if you really want to believe it. It could be your friend, your cousin, or especially your best friend. That doesn't mean you can't ever trust anyone, just don't depend on someone fully unless you want to get hurt in the end.

Song of the Year

Santeria is a good, happy, and overall amazing song that represents summer for me. Summer is really important to me because that's when I get to hang out with all of my friends and family without worrying about school. This song reminds me of the river when we went tubing, knee boarding, riding jet skis, and just riding in the boat in general. It also has a great guitar solo which is also pretty cool. This is my song of the year because it's special to me in a way no other song is.

This song isn't as good as Santeria, but it's a very close second which is why it had to be included. My cousin and I listen to this song every time we hang out which is a lot, so I associate it with her and I love hanging out with her more than anything in the world. I'm glad she liked it when I showed it to her because it made me like the song a lot more. This is my second song of the year, and would be first if Santeria wasn't perfect.
