         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think it would be useful to have a policy whereby supermarkets, f&amp;b shops, etc. will have to impose a charge on single-use plastics such as plastic bags from super markets, straws, etc.<br><br>- If consumers are charged for the single-use plastics they now get (mostly) for free, they may be more inclined to use reusables because the small charges may amount to a significant amount<br><br>- If the charge is applied everywhere, rather than just some shops, consumers would develop a habit of using reusables instead, because they would need them.<br><br>- It should be noted where there are exceptions, such as wrappers for burgers where there isn't really a feasible alternative at present.<br><br>- Single-use plastics are convenient, so this change might be difficult for consumers to adapt to. However, it is ultimately for a great good, so this difficulty is not too big a problem.&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
