I just came back home from school and as I'm putting my key into the door I hear my cat meowing because I have to feed her. Today was such a fantastic day, I had subs in all my classes, meaning NO HOMEWORK! I'm surprised those subs had patience with the other students in my class because they were being very stubborn. I opened the window so I could get a breeze going because it's so hot in my house. As I am in the kitchen I go to grab a glass of water and I go text my mom, asking where she is. She texted me back with a picture and below the image she replied: “traffic jam.” I was sooo hungry that I could eat my brains out! I couldn’t wait for her because there seemed to be a lot of traffic. I do have an essay due tomorrow which i havent started. It has me so distressed that i dont even want to do it, but that would just be me letting my pride down.

Tabby Traffic

The old, proud tabby cat wandered into the roadway trusting that she would always have the right of way. The blacktopped road was warm in the sun, and the feline pedestrian showed no signs of speeding her way across the lane.

New driver Archie “Accident” Harris was way over the speed limit as he turned onto that street. Archie was known to have little patience, and often it was said he had even fewer brains. He had one hand on the steering wheel and the other hand wrapped around his iphone. His mother’s car had a fantastic stereo, and Archie had it turned up so loud that pedestrians felt the music thumping, sure the glass windows of the stores he passed would crack under such stress.

Tabby cat was sitting in the middle of the road way when Archie’s car squealed around the bend. Tabby wasn’t distressed, she’d heard cars squeal before. She didn’t even look up from licking her paw as Archie’s car screamed towards her. Archie wasn’t paying attention to the road. He was watching the iphone screen as he swiped past the song options, “Fantastic Fridays,” sounded okay but it was Tuesday, and “Someone to Watch over Me,’ was too corny to risk being sen listening to it. The scream pulled his attention to the world outside his windshield and slam on the brakes.

Archie’s mother’s car left two long black skid marks that looked from above like an equals sign. The stubborn tabby hadn’t moved. When Archie got out and approached her, she just looked at him with all the patience in the world. “You stupid cat!” Archie began. “Get out of the roadway! You wanna get killed?”

Behind him Archie heard another car slam on it’s brakes. He had left the driver’s door open on his mother’s car, and he turned around just in time to see an Amazon truck smash the driver’s door off his mom’s car before skidding to a stop.

When the Amazon driver got out, tabby took advantage of the open Amazon truck door to explore the parcels. She found two catnip toys and a rubber mouse before the traffic jam was cleared.

A stubborn cat sits upon the window sill. The glass is slightly cracked, allowing the horn-blown distress from the traffic jam down below to fill his ears. Yet, with patience and pride, the cat remains unmoved. He watches the chaos unfold beneath him, a fantastic way to keep himself entertained and his brain away from causing his own trouble.

Walking up the cold stone stairs I can feel the anxiety getting to me. You could feel my distress from a mile away. I could feel my brain about to burst as I got closer and closer to the door. Once I finally reached the door I froze as if I was stuck in a traffic jam. My stubborn feet wouldn't budge. As I look up to see a small black cat staring at me through the glass window. I could feel the cat judging me. Just then trickles of water started dripping from the sky, I mustered up all my pride and looked at the doorknob that was patiently waiting for me. I flung open the door and heard “Fantastic, you’re finally here!”

It’s raining quite heavily as my cat sits near the window, enjoying the rainy weather. As time passed, the rain stopped. I was feeling a bit distressed due to today being pride day. Pride day is a day where you can express who you are in any way. As I head towards my kitchen to make myself some coffee because I need that caffeine in me. I love drinking my coffee in this glass jar, it looks so aesthetic. This apartment complex is so big that there is always a damn traffic jam in the elevators. I refused to take the stairs because ain’t nobody has the patience to climb down 15 stairs. As I head to my car and drive away to the destination. I see that I am running low on fuel, so I had to have gas pumped into the car. The gas lady was being mad stubborn and it pissed me off. At last I am at the final destination and I am feeling a bit fantastic for some reason. Seeing all these people waiving the pride flag. All of a sudden I see someone with a shotgun, they shoot someone in the brain. What a day it has been

Then she realized

I couldn’t help but stare out the window. I mean, what else was I going to do? My cat wasn’t any help, she was doing the same thing. I was so bored, I could just jump out the car and just dance. The traffic jam on Route 4 is always a mess causing distress. I knew I should’ve taken the other way, and now I have to pay for my dumb decisions. If my mom was still here, she would’ve reminded me to remain patient and calm. Unfortunately, I was too stubborn to realize that she knew what she was talking about, or at least more than me, and that it actually did work. She used to tell me not to think about things or just accept things for the way it is if you can’t control it. She would always remind me that life just isn’t fair and I would still get so mad at the world. So mad that I was blind to all the lessons she was showing me. I was only seeing my reflection through the glass instead of acknowledging the cup that kept the drink, that kept me, and this was because of my pride. So I didn’t appreciate her fantastic brains and when I realized and started to appreciate her, it was already too late
