#1 How and why did your family come to the US?

They most likely came to the US because it was the period of time where people just thought life would be better here. My parents were always living here and their parents and their parents parent's also lived here their whole life but my Nana did live in Vietnam for a little and then her family came back to the US though.

#2 What were the obstacles that they met?

My dad had to move a lot because his mom was always looking for new jobs and his dad wasn't very helpful in his childhood, but my mom lived in the same house her whole time growing up. They both went to school and graduated from San Diego State University so they didn't necessarily struggle, but they made it all the way through school.

#3 What was going on in the US during this time and did it affect your family?

No major events happened that affected my parents too much but they were alive during some large events like 911.
