Chrysanthemum was born on April 5, 2016. I thought she was perfect she had 10 fingers 10 toes, everything seemed perfect. But little did i know she was already showing symptoms, Chrysanthemum was having trouble feeling. She had a lot of trouble latching and swallowing which I thought was nothing to worry about at the time because I know my brother's wife had trouble feeding at first. The Doctor didn't seem too worry about it she just told us to use formal and just sent us home and everything was good for the next 6 months.

When she was finally rightly diagnosis I wanted to learn all I could about Angleman Syndrome. Angelman syndrome is caused by a genetic mutation on chromosome 15. people normally inherit one copy of the gene from each parent, and both copies become active in many areas in the body. Angelman syndrome occurs when only one copy and there is an absence of a functional copy of the UBE3A gene inherited from the mother. So with the deletion of the chromosome it can lead to development problems, seizures, speech issues, trouble with movement and balances, and frequent laughter. There are fewer then 200,00 case in the US
