My life was difficult at this time of my life because my parents divorced when I was about 2 years old, and my dad didn't feed me and my brothers much and beat us. This song is about never giving up, never surrender. That was a very valuable lesson, especially at that time of my life. My dad beat us more because of our siding with our mom, so I needed a distraction from life and just focus on being a kid and having a childhood through all that mess.
