- Michelle Obama uses pathos with emotion mentioning possibilities of what could happen if Trump is elected in regard to abortion/women's health.

Pathos (danger on women’s health/women are horrified/22 days in jail/America was already behind other nations/your own women could be effected and your sons/take our lives seriously/being indifferent about this is heartbreaking)

Pathos: Emotional tone of voice, appeals to relatable and critical problems, appealing to a communal "danger" the nation might be put in as a whole, emotional rhetoric, unifying, what would happen to the nation?(nationalism), what if it were your own family? what are the effects on both men and women? pathos, telling men to imagine if this was their girlfriend, mother, wife, or niece who needed help and couldn't find it. So pathos was used to play on others emotions.

Pathos: Using love of men to their women to convince them.

Logos: Using facts and history to convince them. Women crossing state lines to get the care they need. A woman served 22 days in jail after having a miscarriage.

pathos: sympathy for women, "put all of us in danger", how big the problem may become and affect everyone, she state how it could be anyone close to the audience

Pathos: Talking in the perspective of the audience. Illustrating the issue in a vivid manner to implant fear in the audience's conscious.

Logos: The number of doctors that will choose not to pursue medicine in women's health. The number of jobs that will cease to exist.

Pathos: Michelle Obama uses an anecdote regarding women's struggles with miscarriages, involving emotion in US citizens' votes, as it is a heartbreaking thing. As well as putting in mind the possibility of this story happening to your family or a loved one.

Logos: refers to the logic behind the medical struggles the US will be dealing with if Trump becomes president, based on his past when he was president.

She's also appealing to trustworthiness since she's stressed the real life consequences and uses factual information. Also her being a famous figure, she has authority and has the power to be convincing because of her role.

Logos: She explains potential future impact and discusses how trump's election could lead to more abortion.

Pathos: She uses vivid and emotion language infighting fear into the audience.

She also personalized the issue, addressing men directly, asking them to consider how the issue ill affect women in their lives.

• Consequences for Healthcare Infrastructure: She uses reasoning to predict that doctors will hesitate to provide lifesaving treatments due to fear of arrest, leading to clinics closing their doors. This, in turn, will leave millions without access to basic gynecological care, putting them at risk of undiagnosed issues like cervical and uterine cancers.

• Problem: his arguments are broad and lack solid evidence, so the “logic” feels shaky.

PATHOS - trying to use humor, to appeal as a funny person getting a laugh out of people and making himself look good

Pathos: “All I got from the united nations was an escalator that stopped in the middle. and a teleprompter that didn’t work." He used humor and guilt to appeal to people’s emotions.

He repeatedly said “your countries are going to hell”, he used fear to scare people into agreeing with him.

Ethos: Trump shows himself as an experienced leader who can handle major conflicts. He claims himself as a peacemaker, someone who is willing to end the war.

Logos: He presents a logical argument that Hamas are rejected peace offers and ceasefire. Showing that Hamas is at a fault for rejecting ceasefire.

Pathos: He shows emotions through memories of violence and urges peace.

Trump appeals to the audience’s emotions by creating fear and urgency:

"Your countries are going to hell."

This makes the audience feel alarmed about immigration and national security.

Logos (Logical Appeal):
He uses logical reasoning to support his points:

"My position is very simple: the world’s number one sponsor of terror can never be allowed to possess the most dangerous weapon."

This presents the issue as a clear and urgent problem that needs action.

Ethos (Credibility Appeal):
Trump builds credibility by highlighting his achievements:

"I have ended seven wars. The United Nations offered only empty words."

This shows him as a decisive leader who takes action, contrasting himself with international institutions.

- He mainly uses pathos, to address the audience by saying things like "you are contributing to climate change"

Logos:

• He also tried to use real life examples of countries who are "having a war with themselves" to prove a point

Ethos: He uses himself as the source of the speech. As he is an important political figure, and people may be convinced just my him being an important political figure.

Pathos: He uses emotion such as humor in the beginning of his speech, maybe to give the audience a sense of comfort.

Logos: He uses manipulation in his speech when he says that how does countries such as China and India purchase Russian oil, while they are in the middle of a war with them. which could play a big role in convincing his audience on how does a country do that with an opposing country.

Instead of using logic like most people do in these situations, he starts giving random facts with no source. He keeps saying trust me, I know what I am talking about.

Pathos

The way he keeps saying terrorists before hamas and also the fear of that your country will fail without giving an example or a valid reason.

pathos .fear and guilt were built when he mentioned that Europe is “funding the war against themselves” when they buy Russian oil.
