As a bonus, you should gain a flatter abdomen. To do a perfect push-up, your core needs to engage to lift your hips, which results in a more defined belly.</p><p><br/></p><ul><li><p>How many push-ups should I do a day?</p><p>When the goal is muscular hypertrophy, we focus on doing between 6 and 12 series repetitions.
