The Earth is not our home - it’s an extension of us. As we pollute the air, we pollute the breath that will expand in our lungs. As we destroy the land, we destroy our own future. But here’s the hope: just as we can harm, we can heal. Just as we can heal, the Earth can heal. Every act of care - choosing sustainable habits, restoring green spaces, protecting wildlife - is an act of self-care to heal the climate crisis and our bodies. Healing the planet means healing ourselves. Because We are not separate from Nature - We are Nature.

Nature is our home, we live in it.
If our home is not taken care of, living in it is much harder.
Whenever we throw garbage in the environment, it's as if we were throwing it in our garden.
How would you react if you neglected or harmed your own house?
You would definitely do something about it.
We can take action. We mustn't panic.
We can change the situation - if we're willing to do it.
Everything is in our hands.

This song by the Norwegian artist Aurora conveys a set of powerful metaphors which sound like a real scream of denunciation and condamnation against human exploitation of the natural world. Since the very beginning of the song, we find a speaking self who compares oneself with the seed. This metaphor implies that us as humans live on the edge of insecurity decadence just like nature. This sense of loss, indeed, comes from our own disrispectufl actions towards the environment.

To conclude, the refrain suggests us that nature does not need us to survive, while us as humans need nature to stay alive.
