1. Borders are geographical boundaries, imposed either by geographic features such as oceans, or by arbitrary groupings of political entities such as governments, sovereign states, federated states, and other subnational entities. Borders are established through warfare, colonization, or mutual agreements between the political entities that reside in those areas; the creation of these agreements is called boundary delimitation.
2. the total number of people or inhabitants of a country or region.

3. A central government is the government that is a controlling power over a unitary state. Another type of distinct but sovereign political entity is a federal government, which may have distinct powers at various levels of government, authorised or delegated to it by the federation and mutually agreed upon by each of the federated states. Though inappropriate, the adjective "central" is also sometimes used to describe the government of a federation.
4. Sovereignty can be defined as the internationally recognized and effectively pursued authority/right to govern a given territory. A country is fully sovereign if it is recognized by other countries and has an effective government over a certain population and a specific territory.
5. Diplomatic recognition in international law is a unilateral declarative political act of a state that acknowledges an act or status of another state or government in control of a state. Recognition can be accorded either on a de facto or de jure basis.

6. Within its territory the central government can control the legitimate use of force within the country.

Western Sahara: Western Sahara is a sparsely-populated area of mostly desert situated on the northwest coast of Africa. A former Spanish colony, it was annexed by Morocco in 1975. Since then it has been the subject of a long-running territorial dispute between Morocco and its indigenous Saharawi people, led by the Polisario Front. Sovereignty over Western Sahara is contested between Morocco and the Polisario Front and its legal status remains unresolved. The United Nations considers it to be a "non-self-governing territory".

Somalia: Somalia is a federal republic consisting of five federal states as well as the Banadir Regional Administration (BRA) and the claimed territory of Somaliland. Somalia, easternmost country of Africa, on the Horn of Africa. It extends from just south of the Equator northward to the Gulf of Aden and occupies an important geopolitical position between sub-Saharan Africa and the countries of Arabia and southwestern Asia.

Haiti : Following the assassination of the Haitian President in July of 1915, President Woodrow Wilson sent the United States Marines into Haiti to restore order and maintain political and economic stability in the Caribbean. Historically, the United States viewed Haiti as a counterbalance to Communist Cuba. Haiti's potential as a trading partner and an actor in the drug trade makes the nation strategically important to the United States. Moreover, both nations are tied by a large Haitian diaspora residing in the United States.

1. Somaliland is not a state.
A breakaway, semi-desert territory on the coast of the Gulf of Aden, Somaliland declared independence after the overthrow of Somali military dictator Siad Barre in 1991.

Although Somaliland has a working political system, government institutions, a police force and its own currency, it is not internationally recognised. That is why it is not a state.

2. Although there has been some interaction, "Somaliland" has never been granted sovereign recognition. Today, after 26 years of unilateral "independence," "Somaliland" remains a country that does not exist on maps, and the foreign embassies accredited to it cannot operate as embassies. In the absence of international recognition, "Somaliland" is not only unable to obtain loans from other countries and international organizations, but also has difficulty in conducting normal national interactions. Despite the "Somaliland" government's insistence that independence is only a restoration of the historical fact that Somaliland became independent from British Somalia in 1960, the "Somaliland" government has not been able to obtain loans from other countries and international organizations, and it is difficult to conduct normal national interactions. Although, after many efforts, "Somaliland" received a grant from the United Nations to build a modern prison in Hargeisa to combat piracy and detain members of the al-Qaeda organization "Al-Shabaab" in Somalia. However, the international community still does not recognize its legitimate status and insists on the territorial and sovereign integrity of Somalia. At present, the mainstream opinion of African countries on "Somaliland" is not to support its independent status.

3. However, Somalia has its own radio station. Radio Hargeisa, the government mouthpiece, is the only licensed domestic station. Private TV stations operate alongside government-run networks. They are also allowed to cover sensitive issues. It is very important for the public to obtain information from the outside world and establish their own position. It also gives the Somali government better control
