Last week at Mass, Father Ben suggested we give up complaining for Lent. Spend 10 minutes silently reflecting on all the good things in your life. Often times, the things we complain about are the very things that other people pray they had.

For me, it may sound something like "God, I really don't want to do these dishes, but I am thankful that I am able to provide my family with food."

First, begin by watching this video about why we honor (not worship) Mary.

The Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen

Click here to learn what this means. This is a great day to remember the times we have also betrayed Jesus and make a good Confession. Please consider going to Confession during this Holy Week. What a great gift it is that we can completely repent and be healed from our sinfulness!
