Assalamualaikum and hi everyone. My name is Marsya Syahira, but you guys can call me Marsya. I'm in the second semester of my first year in Chem Eng.

One of the chemical processes that left me amazed is the work of Benjamin List and David Mc Millan, organocatalysis, which won the nobel prize chemistry in 2021, last year.

As we all know, catalysts are important in our modern era and also in all biological processes as it speeds up chemical reactions. However, due to the massive use of catalysts in our industries, it contributes to a negative environmental impact.
This is why organocatalyst is important. It helps in reducing energy consumption and non-toxic to the environment.

Assalamualaikum everyone. My name is Fawwaz Khafidz, you guys can call me Fawwaz. This is my second semester of the first year as a chemical engineering student. I was born in Selangor but currently live in Johor.

I always admire some other chemists around the world that produce useful products that are not only sustainable but sometimes cheaper and more effective. For examples, antibacterial bandages made out of durian husks and recycled plastic as building materials.

I hope that over time the situation will get better so that we can get the education in its best way without any fear.
