It is interesting to gain a different perspective on education. I have been in honors for four years, so many people I know want to be something like a lawyer or a nurse, and everyone is graduating. Many of us do not have the same difficulties as those at Wildcat.

This novel was interesting because it showed a different insight on the hardships these students might have along with their troubles of making it through the school system. It made me realize that even though I dislike school sometimes, these students have it much worse

I enjoyed seeing how compassionate she was with students who don't feel they fit in. I like the different perspective to what you normally hear about high school.

I enjoyed the graphic novel Yo, Miss. I was interested in the students in the city because their lives are much different than mine. I feel bad that they have many more obstacles than I do and I wish that it was easier for them to graduate high school and follow their dreams. I am pleased to have been informed that there are helpful teachers like Lisa Wilde to help them out.

I thought it was very interesting to see the differences from what it is like to be at a school where everyone has gone through a struggle compared to what being in school is like here. I also enjoyed seeing how she reacted to the students when they were rude or had something to tell her that could be on a wide range of subjects. When one of the students told her that she is pregnant it shows how some of the students look to their teachers at the school for guidance.

I thought the comic was interesting because of the inclusion of so many characters in such a short amount of time. I also found it interesting that your character in the book didn't understand a lot of the student's slang, yet you had to write the dialogue for those students in a realistic way, so it made me wonder if that was actually how they spoke in real life or if you were unable to fully capture the details of their dialects. Overall I enjoyed the comic.

I really enjoyed the novel because it reflected to what schools are like and how people are treated in school. I also liked how the reader got to see the teacher's point of view on the whole story because students never really know how the teachers feel.

Most people in our school will never face any challenges that difficult during high school, and it’s remarkable how hard some students pushed themselves in order to graduate.

" Yo, Miss" was a wonderful graphic novel to read, and it gave me an all new view on high school. It let me know that life's not the same for every student, and everyone goes through hard times. You never know what one student is going through, from one to the next. You learn not to judge other kids based on their grades, looks, or anything in general.
