Another Example is Georgia, which was made as a sort of defense colony from the southern Spaniards. This, unlike the other regions, lead to a more military focused regional government. This has lead to less friendly interactions than the ones in Pennsylvania. shown here in a quote from a court case of the cherokee people and the court:

"This bill is brought by the Cherokee Nation, praying an injunction to restrain the state of Georgia from the execution of certain laws of that state, which as is alleged, go directly to annihilate the Cherokees as a political society, and to seize, for the use of Georgia, the lands of the nation which have been assured to them by the United States in solemn treaties repeatedly made and still in force."
http://psi.mheducation.com/current/psi.php

The beliefs had lead to to distinct differences within the colonies as well.
The Pennsylvanian ideas of peace were derived from one of the core beliefs of the Quakers: that being pacifism. These beliefs also lead them to act and dress certain ways shown in this painting:

Another example of beliefs is how Rhode Island became a sort of religious safe haven due to the beliefs of the one who founded it. This being Roger Williams, who was banished from Massachusetts for his religious beliefs. Williams had spoken out against the right of civil authorities to punish religious dissension and to confiscate Indian land, and as such was tried and convicted of multiple crimes. He believed in these principals and religion freedom, thus his new colony was an area for religious freedom. And was fairly trading for the Natives land, unlike the militaristic methods of Georgia.

The culture of each colony ties into the cause of beliefs and ideas, thus the culture is demonstrated by the religion. Each different colony has a various culture, and since most are a mix of immigrants, there is a unique melting pot of culture in each colony.
A great example of this is New York, an originally native land turned dutch colony (then called New Amsterdam), then captured and ruled/settled by the British.

"And so In 1664, an English fleet under the command of Richard Nicolls sailed into the lightly defended port of New Amsterdam and extracted a surrender from its unpopular Dutch governor, Peter Stuyvesant, who had failed to mobilize resistance to the invasion. Under the Articles of Capitulation, the Dutch colony surrendered to the British in return for assurances that the Dutch settlers would not be displeased."
Text book page 51.
