Reasons I think this: The girl standing up has the ball over head (about to slam it into the girl).
The girl on the ground it putting her arm against her face in order to protect herself.

I think that the girl on the ground is feeling afraid/scared because a ball is about to be printed onto her face. You can tell her emotions by the look that is shown in her face.

I think that it is either spring/summer because the grass is brown. Both girls are wearing loose clothes that is not suitable for cold conditions.
