country in most schools. Many situations involve bullying are 
scraped under the rug and never reported or brought to parents or admin’s attention. There are many repercussions for not reporting a bullying incident. Students at every age are suffer from being bullied in different ways. Students suffer mentally, emotionally, physically and academically. Administrators, educators, parents, students (all stakeholders) should be concerned about this issue. I hold this issue very closed to heart because I have seen so many bullying issues in my 17 years of teaching. No child should go through the pain of being bullied. According to the state of Texas, a bullying program should take place during school hours. I believe a bullying prevention program will help schools deal with bullying issues by education children about bullying, how to identify it and how to deal with a bullying problem. This may decrease violence across schools and keep our schools safer. As a future principal, I need to insure my students and staff of being in a safe environment.

All kids living in the US have the right to a free public education and the constitution requires that all kids be given equal educational opportunity no matter what their race, ethnic background, religion, or sex, rich or poor and citizen or not a citizen. Civil Rights Act of 1964, protect you from unlawful discrimination, harassment, or abuse in the workplace, schools and more. 
Consequences of violating this law can be a fine, or imprisonment up to a year, or both.

On January 4, 2016, David Molak, a 16 year-old student from San Antonio, committed suicide. He was harassed online through social media (cyberbullying) for having leukemia. He also suffer other online harassments.

"David's Law" allows school to take action and prevent cyberbullying. 

Law requires school districts to include
  •  cyberbullying into their district bullying policy
  • Allow schools to work with law enforcement on serious or life threatening situations. 
  • Encourages schools to invest in counseling and rehabilitation services for both victims and bullies.

Many decisions are based on knowing the differences between right and wrong. Does "doing what is right", help someone or does it have repercussions? We always tend to do what is right as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. On the other side doing things that are legal can sometimes hurt someone and not feel like it's the right thing to do. The big questions sometimes is, "can you follow the law and still be ethical?" The answer is based on the law and what is right but that depends of every individual. Free will gives us the power to base a decision on ethics.
    I had a situation a while back when a student bullied another student at recess, by calling him names and pushing the student on the ground and proceeded to kick him. The student had scrapes on his legs and hands, he was 6 years old. The bully was also 6 years old. I could have easily sent the bully to the office for consequences but I didn't. I knew this little boy had a lot of issues and had a poor quality life at home. I would only be adding on to his issues if I sent him to the office. Then again, protocol was to send them to the office. Was I right for not sending him to the office? Was I right for not adding more issues on him?

    I ended up talking to the principal and we decided he needed guidance with the counselor. The principal and I also talked to the little boys parents, who was bullied.
