1) Title IX states that “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” This law is important because it not only recognizes gender equality, but it also tries to enforce gender equality in schools and in sports/activities.

2)The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and "high school administrators complained that boys' sports would suffer if girls' sports had to be funded equally." The NCAA "offered no athletic scholarships for women and held no championships for women’s teams." These two quotes show how organizations tried to degrade women and their rights.

A set of statutes in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that defines the limits of Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution, which predates the United States Constitution and reads: "The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned." The laws range in scope from use of force in self-defense situations, to specific categories citizens are ineligible to purchase or possess firearms. UFA for Pennsylvania is generally a more Liberal interpretation of the Right to Bear Arms, in that it does not prohibit the sale and transfer of Class III NFA(National Firearms Act, enacted on June 26, 1934, in general, imposes a statutory excise tax on the manufacture and transfer of certain firearms and mandates the registration of those firearms.) Firearms, contains no duty for a citizen lawfully carrying a weapon to notify law enforcement, and mandates 'Shall-Issue' licenses to carry firearms to eligible citizens. The object of concealed weapons statutes is to protect the public by preventing an individual from having at hand, a weapon of which the public is unaware.

3) Under Presidents Reagan and Bush, the enforcement of the law came to a halt. "The ruling court said Title IX did not cover entire educational institutions - only those programs directly receiving federal funds. Other programs, such as athletics, that did not receive federal funds, were free to discriminate on the basis of gender."

4) "But women's rights groups fought back. Four years later, over Reagan's veto, Congress passed the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1988. This act nullified the effects of the Grove City ruling by outlawing sex discrimination throughout an entire educational institution." Title IX then became a top priority in schools. This quotes shows how females finally received the right to participate in activities, through the school, without facing discrimination. Both genders were given equal rights.
