Something that had resonates with me is when Anne states that she clings to her father and wants him to understand how she feels. I resonate with this because my own dad is kinda the same as hers I really felt her on this page.

On page 38 when she says she has bad news “I’ve only got dismal and depressing news for you today. Our many Jewish friends are being taken away by the dozen. These people are being treated by the Gestapo without a shred of decency, being loaded into cattle trucks and sent to Westerbork, the big Jewish camp in Drente.” I started to feel scared and nervous for her because even that thought of what is happening to her own kind is probably traumatizing her and the fact that could happened to her if by the German Soldiers any second if they find her.

What surprised me on this page is that Anne says that Peter was sixteen. For some reason based on how I was reading the book I thought he was younger than Anne because it was just the way he acted with Anne from what i remembered when I read past pages in the book.

When Anne states about a character in her book named Eva that she has a monthly period. I felt bad for her because she says “Oh, I’m so longing to have it too;” but in reality she will probably never experience it. This is also a good example the fact that she is hoping for all of these things to come to her in the future but it wouldn’t happened and it’s really depressing and sad.

How will it impact her” using the clock bell as an example since know they won’t know the specific time anymore and stuff in the future may be taken away from her.

So she had more hope in her self but at the end she won’t make it even though she is so close. I don’t really know how to explain how I am thinking or feelings it’s like I have hope for her too but I know she won’t make it out.

A type of connection I am making with Anne, specifically on the 2nd paragraph she is talking about how Mrs Van Dann is treating Anne like she is stupid and she hates it. I can connect with Anne with this because some ppl in my life treat me like I’m stupid and I hate that because I’m not stupid I just don’t share how smart I am because they don’t deserve to see how smart I am, and even when I do share or prove how smart I am they come up with excuses. How are you even supposed to come up with excuses that I ain’t smart when I show it? Also in the page Anne mentions how Mrs Vann Dan isn’t even that intelligent. The very specific person I’m talking here isn’t even that smart either they have a big ego like Mrs Van Dann, and when Anne mentions that Mrs Van Dann comments on how her dress is short but Mrs Van Dann dress is shorter. That’s exactly what the person does they comment on something I did but then they do the EXACT same thing but even worse.

How Anne explains Mrs Van Dann in the first complete sentence is my exact opinion on Mrs Van Dann. She is hard to see as a serious character, and how Anne describes her as “gauge, cries, pities herself, laughs,” is exactly how I think of her. Mrs Van Dann is one of the most annoying characters in a book/movie/show I have ever encountered, that’s not an exaggeration 🙅🏻‍♀️.

When Anne brings up the idea of religion, she unlocks and says what has been in the back of mind since forever. She starts explaining how some people aren’t able to believe in a certain God, but also kinda explains that just because you don’t have a God to believe in doesn’t mean you can’t be a good person, you may believe there isn’t a purpose but your actions still effect others and it can hurt. She explains how the world would be a better place if you just look back at your actions. Well that’s at least how I’m interrupting this page.
