Fresh Artists designed an art-based project for K-12 students to inspire engagement and youth advocacy in this important conservation mission. More than 100 young artists from nine K-12 schools across five regional school districts created portraits of birds that migrate through the Delaware River Watershed and are at risk of building collisions. These portraits will be featured in the upcoming 2021 Philadelphia Flower Show located in FDR park from June 5th till June 13th. It features a time-lapse of a bird portrait created by a 12th-grade artist. Digital art is a difficult art form to master and digital artists deserve appreciation and recognition. Throughout this internship, my goal is to help raise donations so we can provide tickets to students like this young artist so they can see their artwork featured at The Philadelphia Flower Show. I started with researching the different social media platforms and their pros, cons, and individual marketing tools. From there I began digging through photos, videos, and quotes that Fresh Artists has captured in the last few months.
