A detail that stood out to me is " She put her lip down over the puncture and sucked hard and spat and sucked again while coyotito screamed."
This detail made me feel safe and happy because she would do anything to save her kid just like my mom too.
This shows me Juana is very brave for trying to suck out the poison from coyotito arm. The author is trying to tell you that a mother would do anything for her kid.

It made me feel inspired as not everyone would do that. The ideas that associate with me is some superhero moment as trying to do everything.

It made me feel sorry and kinda guilty for the baby. Kino was trying soo hard to save his baby. The baby's life and the whole family's hopes were on Kino's hand.
