Where has all the animals? you think to yourself. Well, the animals have fled the forests which includes there basic  resources for them to survive. Why has this happened? This happen because of human. It is scientifically proven that the vertebrate population has been rapidly decreased in the last in the last 47 years. This is becoming a very big issue but what do we do about it? Nothing. The government  has made many excuses towards this issue but none that seem reasonable. There is no political will this issue is now in the hands of the people.

SARA keeps saying there going to do something but never take action. The government's jurisdiction is different the then provincial's so they don't have authority over those animals. Though pollution and invasive species is also a factor the main reason for the drop is habitat loss. Most of the parks in Canada are in need of more attention as very few are in good condition. The WWF has put in place an act called SARA that they hope will help protect endangered species, but reports show SARA is ineffectual. Canada's government is lacking jurisdiction and aren't taking notice to the important issue. A study showed that in the time period of 1970- 2014, half of the types of 903 animals with spines decreased by about 83%. People have been doing many things that cause animals to leave their homes. Humans also destroy environments where animals live, which can cause them to also die, so if we keep on doing this we might not have any wildlife in Canada anymore. SARA is supposed to help living things that are going extinct, but  there is no political will, so it will be hard to save these animals. To make a change we all have to help out and do something to save and help these poor living things.
