  • The first week went well! I spaced out my work well and had fun with the whole thing. The online platform is challenging, as being unable to have a conversation with the teacher with a problem im having proves difficult. I'm running into a simple error that I think would be able to be resolved quite simply if it was talked about in person or over zoom. 
  • The most valuable thing I learned this week was the Imovie features. They are fun to play with and see what sticks, so I enjoyed using those. I also learned the hard way that I need LOTS more shots. My video has less shots that run 3-4 seconds while for my next project I need more shots that can run a second or less. 
  •  The skillshare tutorials were very helpful. They did a great job at being thorough and explaining each and every step. Nonetheless, even with following the steps exactly there were bound to be certain discrepancies due to the updating of software from year to year. Regardless, they were very helpful.  
  •  I liked this project a lot. I found it fun to try and create something I could be proud of, and the work wasn't boring or tedious at all. As mentioned earlier I ran into a problem with Padlet, as well as I could have taken more shorter shots. 
  • I do feel like I have a basic understanding of Imovie and shooting video on my Iphone. I need to become more familiar with the types of shots and the reasons for them, but I feel like I have a good base.

  • How did this second week go for you? What was challenging?  What could Mr. Burr have done better?
    • The second week did not go to great for me. Tuesday through Friday, I was very sick with what was not mild covid. I took a test that friday and found out I had covid, so I had to further quarantine. This made my creation of my project very last minute, where I was not able to produce what I think would be the best video possible adhering to the guidelines, as my current planning in storyboard and shot list format were moot. Mr. Burr was very helpful, excusing me from a second shot list and getting back to me very quickly. 2. What was the most valuable thing you learned this week? Why?
    The most valuable thing I learned this week was that the speed features can be VERY useful when trying to line a video up with audio. With good audio and a song that matches the vibe you want to achieve, shooting and editing becomes MUCH easier. 
    1. How did you feel about the Life in Seconds Project & Pre-Production? What went well? What could go better?
    I am happy with the video I produced, it was fun to make and I life the product I received. I didn't use as many shots as I needed in the guidelines, something I didn't see before starting but is concurrent with my too-long shots in my previous capture a location project. Next time, I need to plan ahead (and not get covid) so I can follow the guidelines better.
