Asia Maps blog

By Emaan

For L.A.S.S we are learning about the maps of Asia/The political, population, and climate. First we learned about what kind of maps you can use. Then we did a project where we looked at the atlas and saw what number a state was and wrote it down. The numbers for a state were listed down so we could see the numbers in there places. Then we learnt about regions and what colors each state was on the map. We read a book about Asia. We learnt facts about Asia. The purpose of this activity was to get knowledge about Asia as our third unit.

The Bears and Tigers did president reports! It’s basically when we choose a president and then you make facts about it. I chose Abraham Lincoln. You should read a book about your president. You also need to learn how to talk in front of other people. First we start on a rough draft. Then we go on to our final copy. Last we president our presidents!

The reason we learned about dead words is because words can be boring and juicy,wich means in higher grades you know more words to use. Juicy is very advanced and 2nd grade is advanced at Quest Academy.Examples of dead words would be words like hot,short,pretty,loud,soft,nice,big,tall,bright,dark,fast,small,ugly,warm,scary,quiet,new,cold,old,

slow,good and said.Then, we did a job where people go on a web site called Thesaurus.com and find different words to replace those words.Then, we were all done and hung them up on the wall and labeled those words not to use.

<sub>
</sub>

                                From:Armaan

  Mantrow

Thanks for watching!!!
