(Characterization)
The monster told Conor a story about a prince who killed his lover because he said it was for the better of his kingdom and and queen who was blamed for it. He later than forgave Lily for lying but did not apologize. Conor still keeps getting bullied by Harry. When Harry confronts him he stays still, does not say a word and just stares a t Harry.

(Prediction)
The monster is gonna help Conor by telling him stories that help him with what he's dealing with in his life currently. The stories he tells have meaning and they go along with his situation right now. When the monster ends up telling all of his stories Conor will realize what will he have to do in order to make his life better. The stories help him deal with he current situation. The monster told him that the yew tree helps heal anything which will help Conor's mom.

(Inference)
I think Conor's grandma acted the way she did because she needed a sense of relief because all her life she's been this super clean strict person and she needed to let that go so she would feel better. Also, she needed something like a stress reliever because of what was happening to her daughter, she just needed something that got rid of the stress. I think she cried because she was so shocked and she was sad because she loved her things.

The monster came to Conor at school and told him he was ready for the third tale, after Harry told him he no longer sees him anymore. The monster was going to make him visible again. He did this by using Conor to hurt Harry. From Conor's point of view it was all the monster, but he still felt what he was doing to Harry. The monster left, and Conor was later left standing alone in the middle of the dining hall seen by every student.

Each tale ties in with Conor's life experiences by using the tales as metaphors to what's going on in his life. For example, in the first tale with the prince and queen, the metaphor might be to not judge people because of what other people say about them and to not assume. This could be like Conor's grandma. The tales also tie into reality by having Conor do things in reality not in the "dream". For example, him destroying the parson house led him into actually destroying his grandma's room, and in the third tale when the 'monster was punching Harry' ended up in him hurting Harry.

The movie isn't meeting my expectations because it isn't alike the book. Many things were different in the movie than in the book was leaving the part out where Conor woke up and his room was filled with leaves. In the movie Conor just went to his mom's room. I expected Conor's mom to be more tired and less energy filled.

One character I would change/revise in the movie would be Conor's mom. I would change or recast Conor's mom because in the movie she acted like she wasn't fighting cancer. I would make her act more tired since in the movie they said she barely kept her eyes open and she always slept. I also would make her act more weak because in the book they said she had little to no strength. Finally, I would make her act a little weird since she was always on painkillers.
