Who made the first snowman? Who first thought of putting three snowballs on top of each other and who decided to use carrots instead of a nose? How can this mystery be solved after all evidence has long been melted ...

Legend
According to the legend, the first snowman was made on 7 January 1809 by Vernon N. Paul and his 9-year-old daughter, Yeti, in Yu Claire, Wisconsin. Gender explained to his daughter that the snow man is meant to keep the elves away, who have appropriated the Christmas gifts of this holiday. So, gradually, a snowman appeared in front of every town house.

Evidence
It turns out, however, that evidence of the "existence" of the snowman has been since the Middle Ages. The American historian and cartoonist Bob Eckstein, author of Snowman History, explores artistic images in European museums, art galleries, and libraries, and the earliest documentary depicting a snowman is a 1380th book .

The snow sculpture is also mentioned by Giorgio Vasari in Michelangelo's biography. Vasari mentions a snow figure made in the winter of 1492-93 in the palace of the Medici, but unfortunately does not go into details how exactly it looks.

In the literature, the subject of the snowman slips around 1590 - in Shakespeare's drama "Richard II." King Richard says he would like to be a snowman king made to play, melting in the sun's rays.

During the Victorian era, the snowman became an extremely popular symbol of the holiday season. There are thousands of images left out of this era in the form of paintings, greeting cards and advertisements.

The modern snowman
The popularity of the snowman reached new heights in 1950 when Jeanne Ore recorded his Christmas hit "Frosty The Snowman". Frosty quickly becomes a magical icon for the holiday and the first toy collectibles in the shape of a snowman appear. In fact, since the middle of the 20th century, thematic Christmas decorations and toys have become more and more profitable.

Today, the snowman has become a symbol not only of the holiday season, but also of the whole winter season. He is present in the Christmas decoration, has a variety of dishes and even clothes and jewels with his image have become more popular than ever. The image of the snowman creates a sense of happiness, simplicity, joy and magically reminds of the pleasures of childhood.

On January 18, the International Snowman Day is celebrated. The idea of the birthday is the German collector Cornelius Graetz. The date is chosen because the unit symbolizes the broom, and the eight - the body of the snowman. / Pause Moreto.net

They call him Snowman, Frost or Snowman, but this icy little man where does he come from?
His story comes from far away, Bob Eckstein even wrote a book about him, The History of the Snowman, in which he tells his origins. The first documented portrait dates back to 1380, found in an ancient Book of Hours and now kept in a library in The Hague. The Pupazzo then appears in several prints of the sixteenth century, before being celebrated by Hans Christian Andersen in the story published on March 2, 1861 in which The Snow Man falls hopelessly in love with a stove and ends liquefied by a warm wind. In the '50s the American publishing and discography dusted off the snowman and just December 14, 1950 released Frosty the Snowman, the famous song written by Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins In the 1950s fairy tale the metaphor of death is eliminated and the 'little man of snow instead of melting for love, at the arrival of the heat he goes away to return the following year.

Here is the fairy tale and the video of the song played by Michael Bublè ft. The Puppini Sisters.
Frosty is a snowman who sits alone on top of a hill with his nose made with a button, for eyes he has two pieces of coal and in his mouth an old wooden pipe. One day a child, just like him, expresses the desire to have a friend. He puts his wool cap on the head of the puppet and suddenly the snowman comes to life. The two start playing and the days of solitude give way to a happy and sincere friendship, full of songs and dances in the snow. One day the child misses the appointment and so the next day. Worried then the snowman decides to go and look for him down in the city: he gets a stick and goes to the valley, where a timid spring sun looks out on the horizon. Finally Frosty finds his friend and knows other children with whom he starts beautiful games. But spring is coming, the temperature begins to rise, the snow melts and the little man understands that it is time to return to his distant hill. Say hello to new friends, saying not to cry because next winter will come back to play with them.

He can carefully look at the history to find his ancestors without difficulty. The snowman appeared on several early postcards, played major roles in the first silent films and became the subject of several early photographs from the early 19th century.
Making snowmen to a very early form of folk art. Snowmen existed in the Middle Ages. They were then immensely artful and ingenious. In the period in which he tried to express things, snow was a free, plastic material shed from the sky.

These are primarily winter art works. Some were created by famous artists like 19-year-old Michał Anioł, in whom in 1494 the ruler of Florence ordered a snow sculpture of a snowman on the courtyard of the residence.

With tool idols, the so-called a miracle from 1511, when there was a shout of snowmen - spectacular scenes with their participation on every corner. Some political tricks, finishing up anger and government. Others were a bit pornographic. For the Brussels people it was their Woodstock, the moment of artistic freedom. Join the arrival of spring when Belgium suffered catastrophic floods.

The snowmen also played a role in the bloodiest episodes of pre-American North America - in 1690 during the so-called Schenectady massacre. Schenectady's fort in the case of the New York knife railway was in this way a Dutch settlement constantly exposed to attacks. That winter the gate froze when it was open. Guarding her soldier at the station for a pair of blues, for the safety of the city, and hid themselves before the snowstorm. They did not know that a branch of 210 indigenous Indians and soldiers from French Canada was approaching. Attackers, for more than 3 weeks brushed in the snow-soaked knee, did not fear the idols and attacked the fort, killing 60 inhabitants.

If someone thinks that important events involving snowmen into the distant past, they may be surprised. There are still plenty of explosive situations! From 1818 to today, every year the inhabitants of Zurich celebrate the beginning of spring, blowing up a snowman in the air. On the third Monday of April, the Sechselauten festival begins with the dynamite of a cotton dummy called Boogg. Later, bakers, blacksmiths and other craftsmen bred by the city, throwing bread and sausages to the crowds. The parade ends with a Boogg delivery on a 12-meter heap of wood. When the bells of the church of St. Peter will kill six times, I use it on fire. The snowman explodes, and the winter will annul the official certificate - the shorter the puppet is lit, the longer the summer is accused.

The story, backed by the visual material on the existence of "Bigfoot", belongs to the American Roger Patterson. The footage and footprints of Patterson, which were filmed in California forests in 1967, were described as false by American experts, while the Soviet scientists argued that the images were real. Theodore Roosevelt was the most famous person who claimed to have seen the creature in question. Roosevelt, known for his curiosity in hunting, described how in 1903 two slayers were attacked by a mysterious creature by the Salmon River in Idaho.

The rumors about ülü bigfoot lar or kahverengi snowman yarat, defined as a half-animal, semi-human, walking on hind legs, covered with black or brown hairs, are not accepted by many scientists today. It is known that the USSR established a special commission in the Academy of Sciences in 1958 for the research of this creature consisting of experts in geology, anthropology, biology, physics and medicine. American Tuson "cryptozoology" (the science that investigates animals that do not exist in the biology or which are considered to be legendary), says that the "karadamı" will bring 100,000 livelihoods and one million dollars to capture the living thing.
