Plants are vital to our society and the environment. Plants give us oxygen that we need to survive, they give us food, and the material needed to make our clothing. Without plants many people would be without a home because without trees we would have no source for wood. I chose this picture because it shows a group of people giving back to the environment by planting a new tree. The group of people pictured realize how vital it is to have trees in abundance because of all the ways trees are an important attribute to society such as giving us the material necessary for shelter and providing us with oxygen.

I chose this video because it goes in depth about the process of photosynthesis. During the video the animation shows the water traveling through the roots and what affect the sunlight has on the plant. It also takes a deep look at the leaf itself, showing the leaf wall and the cells of the leaf and where the chloroplast is located. This was the best video to me based off how in depth the video broke down the process of photosynthesis.

These are different types of Pine Trees found all throughout Georgia. Pine Trees are considered Gymnosperms. Gymnosperms are plants that have seeds that are unprotected by ovaries or fruits. A Pine Tree is a Conifer, which is a tree that contains cones and needlelike leaves.

I believe the Deciduous Forrest is the most susceptible to be in the most danger due to the fact of de-forrestation. When I read the description of the different types of trees that grow in this biome, I noticed a lot of specific lumber names. When I saw that, it made me think of how many forests have been getting cut down recently. Due to the fact of the need of lumber for various types of neighborhoods and buildings.

The Neolithic Revolution caused a decrease in migration therefore causing more births. Another impact was Social Stratification, which means the people not involved in farming can focus on other things and make new innovations like tools. Higher transmission of diseases was a negative impact that the revolution had on the population. Another impact was agricultural expansion due to trading, meaning different crops could now be grown in different places.

The plow was a big innovation during the agricultural revolution. Plows enabled farmers to clear land and recycle plant material by returning it back into the soil. Early plows were just pieces of wood with a metal iron point, called a moldboard, to create a shallow furrow. Thomas Jefferson invented a more elaborate moldboard to make the depth of the furrow greater. The plow made farming a little easier and was one of the biggest inventions during this period.

This is a picture of the poppy plant which is used to make the drug morphine. I chose this because morphine is a chemical in the medical field that is highly used. Morphine is used when pain is at a level where its unbearable. I feel that this chemical is one of the most influential chemicals in the world because of how large of a role it plays in the medical field.

I chose this picture to represent our future society because it looks similar to what cities look like now. I also thought that it is very possible for us to have hovering or flying cars since we already have electric cars that can drive themselves. I also thought this picture was very fitting because of the buildings. The buildings look similar to todays skyscrapers. They are just a little bit more innovatative architecturally speaking. I think as the years pass we will have the knowledge to do great things like this.
