I've never had an enjoyable time going to school until coming to OVCA as a junior, and now a graduating senior. Almost all of my teachers in the past made it seem as though I was a problem or a stain in their overall lives, imagine acting that way towards a literal child, embarrassing; but coming here provided me something different and enjoyable. I felt heard, for the most part, and somewhat normal, I actually enjoyed waking up and logging on with the idea of going to class, rather than feeling the emotional and mental exhaustion before even seeing adult's face. It showed me that not everyone I'll meet is automatically awful and how good/important it is to have a place to feel comfortable and equal. Thank you to all the teachers of OVCA, and I hope it only gets better form here. P.S. History teachers, get it together.

While I adore and appreciate every one of my teachers, I feel that I owe a special shoutout to one Mrs. Cox... aka, the single most patient soul I have ever had the privilege of learning under! XD You are such a wonderful, powerful person, and- though you may not always realize it- you impact and empower your students (and Interns!) every day! It has been an honor and a delight being your First Officer this semester... thank you for keeping me under your wing, and for helping me to find my own feathers to soar with! The Most Marvelously Chaotic Barrage of Teachers!

Okay, okay... I can't play favorites! XD To the entirety of the teachers I have had this year- Mrs. Burgess, Mrs. Stewart, Mrs. Harris, and Mr. Fischer- you all make up the most pleasantly chaotic, joy-inspiring bunch of instructors I have ever had at once!

-Mrs. Burgess, thank you for always humoring my off-the-wall science questions, and for encouraging me to reach for the stars... or the "sharks," rather!

-Mrs. Stewart, thanks to you, I have officially dispatched my not-so-nice feelings about circles... and have had the most fun in a math course in years! Thank you for challenging me!

-Mrs. Harris, I always appreciate the mild unhinged-ness of our CC sessions, and look forward to them every week- thank you for fostering such wonderful "social chaos"!

-Mr. Fischer, your Fine Art course reignited a fascination with art that I thought long lost... thank you for your enthusiasm- and impressions, of course!

To My 9th Grade Teacher, Mrs. Bass Thank you for always teaching me new ideas. Math is a tough subject; I know only a few students enjoy it. A lot of people think it is just your job to help, but I can tell that you care about the students and whether they understand what you are teaching. Thank you for giving me the tools to succeed and for showing me that hard work pays off. You are an incredible teacher I know that many of us had trouble understanding, but you never gave up on trying to teach us and making sure that we got it. I struggled in your class, Thank you for seeing that I was having difficulty in your class and helping me, Thank you for showing me that it is okay to ask for help if it is needed. After all, a person can't do everything alone.

Mrs. Stewart has been an amazing Algebra teacher. Jeremiah has always had a difficult time with Math but this year is the first year that I can see him "getting it". He is actually remembering rules and steps. She has taught it in a way that he can comprehend it and he has even felt more confident to answer in the group chat. I'm very proud of him and very thankful that he has had the chance to have her for a teacher. I hope he has her again for Algebra 2.

I wanted to thank Mrs. Bass for how much of a great geometry teacher she is I learned a lot from her this year. I'm glad I was her student for this school year, She would help me with my work, Be there when I needed her help. Mrs. bass has always been the best teacher even though sometimes I struggle with math in her class, it was A lot of fun once I got the hang of it. I am so thankful for how much she has done for me and how much she supported each and everyone of us and shows how much she cares about us I really love her class.
