This model is a representation of the massacre which happened in Rwanda. We want to demonstrate step by step how the facts were, we are determined to demonstrate the massacre that was carried out and we represent all perspectives. As well as the UN, the perpetrators and victims.
In the same way, this shows us how fast and easy it is to lose control of situations, that's why we need to know how to act and how to count. La Paloma de los Tres Valores, 2023

Esta obra va dirigida principalmente hacia el continente africano en el siglo XX representando tres valores principalmente:
- La democracia simbolizada con el mundo en el centro y manos alzadas buscando ser escuchadas.
- Los derechos humanos figurados a los dos extremos del dibujo con un chico de un lado que representa los derechos de los niños y una mujer al otro lado que muestra los derechos de las mujeres.
- La libertad que engloba a los dos primeros valores mediante una paloma.

El mensaje que se quiere transmitir es la situación de Sudáfrica durante la Guerra Fría. Sudáfrica anhelaba ser una potencia como Estados Unidos así que su presidente (Frederick Willem de Klerk) decidió comprar armas nucleares para así hacer ver a su país más poderoso. Los materiales que fueron usados para esta obra son: papel Kraft, pinturas reutilizadas, plumones y colores reutilizados. 
La idea que se quiere transmitir con esta pieza es la fuerza que tuvieron las mujeres para poder interferir y ayudar en la guerra de independencia en Angola durante 1974; es decir, mientras ocurría la Guerra Fría. 
En la pintura está plasmada la bandera de Angola, una mujer y un puño que simboliza igualdad. Esto busca referirse a la gran participación y ayuda que las mujeres aportaron en la independización de su país.
Fue un hecho muy importante ya que previo a este año su participación en temas generales era muy escasa.

Clases sociales, 2023

Por medio de esta obra buscamos representar los valores de igualdad y justicia durante la Guerra Fría. Usando como referente este acontecimiento, representamos la lucha de clases sociales por medio de una pirámide de cartas, juego en el cual se puede apreciar un simbolismo sobre estos valores, especialmente de la monarquía.Al igual que con una torre de naipes, si el proletariado cae, la burguesía también, y la caída para la burguesía sería desde más alto que para el proletariado. Este producto artístico está elaborado con plastilina, naipes, pegamento y cartón reciclado.

A Life Through War, 2023

This work represents the 1975 Angolan War . We want to make sure that others understand that this event was a consequence of previous conflicts, as well as create consciousness of how many people died unnessarily or lived with bad conditions that could have been preventable. It also represents how many people were raised and disciplined based on war values. We consider important to talk about this, as many homes, families and food were taken away for people. Adding that many had to leave their homes for their safety and that there was a big difference between internal and external refugees.

This work depicts in a symbolic way the conflict in South Africa known as Apartheid. It seeks to inform the conditions non-white people were living in their country and the privilege of the white minority. Even more, it portrays different perspectives, the theft of resources and the violence with which they were oppressed.
Is important to inform and represent this period so events of this nature can be avoided in the future. We want that this model to raise awareness about racism in the world.

Fast Fashion en la Guerra Fría, 2023.

Esta es una maqueta que enfoca la lucha contra las injusticias que vivían niños y mujeres, afectando sus derechos humanos bajo condiciones laborales inhumanas. Escogimos el “fast fashion” para representar esa parte que no vemos detrás de la moda. "Las dos caras de una misma moneda". 

El nombre de nuestro producto artístico es “Las dos caras de una misma moneda”. En este podemos encontrar varios elementos tales como el círculo, que es lo que consideramos más destaca, este viene representado el mundo, más específicamente África en el mundo. Dentro del círculo encontramos las banderas de Argelia, Kenia  y Somalia, los cuales son los países de los cuales investigamos. Más adentro encontramos otro círculo el cual representa la razón de lucha de dichos países.La zona negra  representa lo que la sociedad dentro de los países sufrió y no se reveló al mundo. Por el contrario, la zona blanca representa lo que los demás países ven, ignorando la otra cara de la moneda.

Model

The artwork shows a Tutsi person’s head with injuries and blood stains, below it has a cardboard representing the harsh reality that they lived throughout the 1994 genocide. Also, we put a radio on the cardboard to simulate the hate messages that were spread in the country by this media type. The message that we want to convey is that hatred and resentment, if not controlled, can cause irreversible damage to a living being. We want the spectator to reflect about the importance of resentment in all types of conflicts, not just in Rwandan Genocide. This conflict has a lot of importance for morality, it demonstrates that discrimination against minorities is still displayed, despite all the past problems that the world has experienced. Format/ Technique: Sculpture
Our work is about the Rwandan genocide. What we wanted to interpret in our piece of art is the radio when they announced that the plane of the president was shot down and the people already knew that there was going to be a massacre.The person with blood is a hutu and also we placed a tree that was chopped down representing a Tutsi. The animals that are bleeding are Tutsis and the oppressors of the genocide are the lions.We want the audience to see that just a few minutes passed by when the plane was shot and the Hutus began to murder innocent people. We want everyone  to know about this conflict and the backstory of it because it’s actually a product of resentment. It was an injustice and it hurts seeing family friends and also priests turning Tutsi people to the authorities for them to kill them. If you see the person who’s cutting the tree with detail, you can see he has tears in his eyes. Sudáfrica 1956

Acuarela/acrilico sobre lienzo de algodón 

En el lienzo se representa la marcha a favor de los derechos de las Mujeres en 1956 frente a Pretoria durante la guerra fría, esta marcha detonó específicamente después de la propuesta ley del gobierno influenciado por el Apartheid de solicitar una serie extensa de documentos a las mujeres Africanas para poder trasladarse entre su territorio, o prohibir su entrada a ciertas regiones.

Del lado opuesto se representa la lucha por el cambio en los derechos de las mujeres, su evolución hasta ahora, representado mujeres de color, mujeres pertenece a la comunidad LGBTQ+, mujeres pertenecientes al movimiento feminista, etc. Con la intención de hacer entender el “antes y después” o la evolución en la lucha por los derechos de la mujer, siendo la marcha Sudafricana uno de los principales precedentes en el continente Africano para mejorar la calidad de vida equitativamente, inspirando al resto del mundo también.

Representation of the damages caused by the civil war. The Biafran War caused a massive division in the country which is represented in our piece, next, the bloodshed in Nigeria caught a lot of attention from foreign media. The hunger that Biafrans went through was inhumane, causing millions of deaths. They would only feed off of cornstarch because of the blockade, while in the North they were enjoying their normal diet.

This memorial was created to commemorate the horrible way in which children were kidnapped and forced to join the Lord’s Resistance Army. We hope that this memorial inspires people to take action so that no innocent person has their human rights violated like this.
