Making connections
Connecting main topics in math, so that pupils learn to appreciate the concepts and skills taught, for eg, right angles in Squares and Rectangles are also commonly referred to in topic 8-Point Compass; 1-quarter turn in 8-Point Compass is really about "cutting a circle into 4 quarters and referring to just 1 out of 4 equal parts" in Fraction. Probably the connections could help the pupils see the BIG picture of Mathematics.
