On Friday, 2nd March, students from Stage 3 participated in Clean Up Australia Day. They put in an amazing effort to collect five large garbage bags full of rubbish so that our playground is now spotless. Plastic food packaging and wrappers were the most common form of rubbish found, but students also found some interesting items such as a shovel, shoe and construction materials. To help minimise the amount of rubbish in the playground please encourage your child to always put their rubbish in the bin at home and in public areas. You could also try using reusable packaging and containers as an alternative to plastic wrappings or foil.
