School Library Journal:

Gr 9 Up—A bittersweet conclusion to the charming YA romance series. Lara Jean Song Covey embarks on her senior year with lots to look forward to—her widower father's wedding, a trip to New York City, graduation, and college with her adorable boyfriend Peter Kavinsky. But when her plans for the future start to unravel, the middle Song sister (who has never been good with change) questions what her heart truly wants. Featuring the same endearing sister relationships, mouthwatering descriptions of Lara Jean's cooking, and timeless coming-of-age conflicts, this final volume in the series will continue to delight Han's fans. Though the protagonist has grown over the three books, she is still the thoughtful, crafty, dreamy girl next door with whom readers first fell in love. Just as the characters have grown up, so have the series's themes—the couple discuss the practicalities of their "first time," and Lara Jean gets her first hangover. The beginning of the novel is mostly conflict-less, while the second half is filled with big life choices, breakups and makeups, and lots more. However, the pace is in keeping with the rush of senior year. Peter and Lara Jean's romance takes center stage, but above all, Lara Jean learns to choose for herself, which is refreshing. VERDICT Sparkling dialogue, swoon-worthy scenes, and likable characters make this a gem of a selection for most YA collections where Sarah Dessen, Nicola Yoon, and Jennifer E. Smith are popular.—Shelley M. Diaz, School Library Journal --Shelley M. Diaz (Reviewed 05/01/2017) (School Library Journal, vol 63, issue 05, p103)

This book review perfectly states what this book is about and why people should read it. The review talks about what the book is about, like how Lara Jean is preparing for her dad's wedding and her senior year of high school. It mentions how Lara Jean needs to figure out what she wants because in the book because she does have a lot of decisions she needs to make. I agree that in the beginning the book is sweet, and it does not bring up any problems yet. However, I agree that toward the middle to the end of the book there is conflict. Lara Jean makes choices based on what she wants, and her decision is not based on her relationship. I also agree that it is great that she is becoming more independent and not only focusing on her relationship. I agree with this book review that this book is a great ending to Lara Jean's story.

My favorite quote in this book is, " Peter will love Lara Jean with all his heart, always. " This quote is a part of the,
" contract " Peter wrote to Lara Jean in her yearbook. It is similar to the one they wrote back when they were fake dating. However, this contract is different because it has rules like, " Peter will write a letter to Lara Jean once a week. A real handwritten letter, not an e-mail. " This contract shows how they will handle a long distance relationship with each other. This contract shows that even though it is hard to maintain a long distance relationship they will never stop trying to make it work. It also shows how much Peter loves Lara Jean and how he will never stop loving her.

Lara Jean wrote love letters when she had a crush that she could not handle. She kept them all in a box until her sister, Kitty sent them all out. Peter Kavinsky was one of the boys who got a letter. He proposed that they fake date so that he could make his ex-girlfriend, Genevieve jealous. They both ended falling in love with each other and that is when they made their relationship real. The love letter symbolizes their relationship because if Kitty had not sent out the letters Lara Jean and Peter would have never ended up together. However, now they ended up very happy with each other.

This quote is how Lara Jean is going to describe the story of their relationship. Without the love letter, Peter would have never been able to fall in love with Lara Jean. Lara Jean and Peter's love story is a very sweet story but it is also realistic. If Lara Jean had not been in a relationship with Peter she would not had the great love story that she has now. However, this story would not have existed without that love letter.
