Next week we will look at what resouces will cost, how long will it take to poduce - work out a production schedule for each product and agree how many we can make for the stall.

List firstly your resources, remember to multiply the costs by how many you require - for example, six tubes of paint at £1.99 would be £11.94 - you may only need a small amount of each so check what sizes you require - maybe some larger than others? Getting quantities correct can have a huge impact on your profit - try to only order the amount that you need.

Secondly list your 'hidden' resources - tools, time, electric etc and factor in a percentage for these - consider what this percentage should be - discuss within your team.

Thirdly - consider packaging - it can make all the difference when you are trying to make sales.

Once you have all your costs add them up, and add on a percentage for the amount of profit you would like to make - anything between 5 - 30% is usual depending on the size and value of the item.

1)we have decided on one product line which will be a selection of wooden reindeers approximately 12 inches in height, with various decorations.

2)We have developed a logo design. Which is a dove with a written christmas message.

3)We have decided on the wording for the christmas message "Conveying peace, harmony and friendship for the coming year, from C.A.R.E.."

4)We have planned how to use the 3 sessions that we have available to produce the reindeer, and generate the logo.

5)The logo is going to be used to create a poster for printing and/or Facebook.

6)We have worked out our costings for the reindeer, with a sale price of £10, decoration cost of £3 leaving a profit margin of £7 per item for the charity.

7)we have designed our poster and banner to promote the CARE stall at the event. The poster will include a photograph of the venue to make the event easier to find, with the CARE logo, our designed logo, and the christmas message. Also the date and time, postcode, contact information, QR code and links to the Care Website.

There was a variety of other stalls, cards, knitted crafts, art work, lovely sensory soaps and smellies, and various others. I felt the girls had used the space really well, with some items at floor level and others displayed/hanging from vertical wooden trellis. Customers were greeted with a smile and greeting and made to feel welcome from the start. Most did purchase something which was a great reward for the time and effort that has gone into creating this fabulous display. Thank you to everyone invovled and especially to Debbie and Steph.
