Beginning with autonomy, the article says it is important for students to be aware that their acquisition of knowledge process is working. (page 200)

Another main idea is recognition and planning. It is important for self-assessment to be able to recognize how you are understanding and dealing with all the knowledge and then be allowed to plan the next steps. (page 204)

The authors also compare self-assessment to the traditional methods. They show us tradition does not make students able to judge their own process, which makes dependent students unable to improve their learning. (page 205)

Feedback is also a huge part of the self-assessment process.Because having a teacher who is able to help students being more autonomous is essential to guide them. Without this person, they would be lost and the effects would be small. (page 207)

Being able to find what you are having trouble with is another important part of this process. It helps to guide the planning part, once you will give more attention to resolve the problem. So diagnosing mistakes is a fundamental part of self-assessment. Sanmartí once said that without mistakes, you do not have the chance to learn. (page 208/209)

In conclusion, self-assessment is a strategy to make learning worthwhile with independence and must be most frequently used by people around the world, since it helps with acquisition of knowledge and provides self-regulation.

This restaurant opens at 11:30 a.m. and closes at 3:30 p.m., which might be a problem. Even though it seems to be open time enough for lunchtime, if you are there traveling just to relax, time usually is messy, so there is a chance to be already close when you get there to eat.

It is not the cheapest restaurant around, they charge sixty-nine a kilo. 

However, the food makes the price worth it.Everything there is really good. Since it is a self-service place, you are able to choose whatever you want and how much you want. There are a lot of options for having a good lunch. Lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and beet are some of the choices you have to make a great salad. The vegetables's quality is the best. Mestre Cuca also has a big extensive menu and everyone is able to eat whatever they want. There are many kinds of meat too, which you can ask and have it done in a couple of minutes. 

The service is amazing. You feel like home there. All employees create a nice energy there and it used to be so cozy just  being at Mestre Cuca.

I will say in an exam Mestre Cuca gets the best grade! And everyone should go there.

After a reflection in my reading process, I can see some of the metacognitive strategies the author talks about such as scanning, skimming, dictionary use and being aware of the textual model.

Scanning is when you read a text looking for a specific topic, in spite of the details. This strategy helps a lot in an exam, for example. It is really useful to read the question before the text because you already know what you have to pay attention to, which saves time.

Skimming is another strategy often used. It seems like scanning, but this time you are looking for the general idea of the text. It helps a lot when you have to read something really quickly, for instance.

Using a dictionary while you are reading is very helpful. It is good for understanding the text and improving your vocabulary, even if it is written in your native language.

Being aware of the textual is one of the best because you already know what kind of information you will find in each paragraph. I believe this one you started to use during school, where you learn textual models and it is used by most of the people without intention.
