Right now it is in a few states. Texas, South Carolina, Florida, and Mississippi . These plants are aquatic and spread with fragments, seeds, ramets and rhizomes. These have many spread by boats. It first got in the U.S in 1996 in Florida. Be aware of these plants because this is highly dangerous to other plant in lakes. They spread and grow rapidly, and then it blocks sun from everything else in the body of water. Right now boats are being cleaned, so these cannot spread even more. Stay aware of these plants they may be pretty but dangerous.
