I would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owner, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and the Bunurong peoples and clans of the Kulin nation of the City of Maribyrnong. I want to show my respect to their connection to the land, water and community of Footscray Park. I also would like to pay my respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

When I was on my way, I wondered about what I can do later and how I can engage with it. However, when I walked around the park, the nature told me their stories. Despite of the  cold weather, I still kept in mind of "Dadirri", that means deep listening to engage all my senses with the place. I sat down near the river, closed my eyes and had a deep breath to focus on everything around me. According to Catherine Hamm, “it is possible to pay attention to the land in different way”. When I came to this place with “different me” by thinking different way helped me to understand about the places where I live, the essential role of each thing and pay attention in everything, not just the view. There are different sounds that I could hear from both human and non-human. I heard the birds were chirping, the wind was howling, the leaves were rustling, the river was burbling and the sound from the footsteps of people. When I listened to the birds, I felt like they were talking as they made short and high sounds. After that, I wondered if the birds were singing as I could hear they made a musical sound. I came up with an idea that the birds composed a song for the Winter. It related to Victor's speech as he said "music as a language". I could see they chased others, looked for food with their beaks. As the weather is not very nice today, the winds moved very fast that made the little birds tried to be balance in the sky while the winds was interrupting their way to their home. When I looked at the sky, I can see the birds flew in a V formation. I was so excited by saying "they actually made a letter". 
On the other hand, I enjoyed looking at the river is flowing. It was so peaceful and magical. When I tried to focus on my ear, I noticed that the sound is changed by the speed of the wind. I wondered if the leaves wanna tell me something? Or because after the rain, they are happy as they just cleaned themselves? 
By looking at a little water drop from the leaves were dripping on the way, it likes a magical sounds that you really need to focus on to see. I don't know why it made me happy. 
I also heard the birds are singing while they flew around the trees. It just remind me about the Vietnamese pronounce, it says “Dat lanh chim dau”, which means beautiful land attracts animals. At this time, in the bottom of my heart, I am thankful for the Traditional Owner of the land for sharing the natural environment with our community. Thinking about my role as a teacher, I would like to let the children explore their natural environments and be responsible to the community. 
Based on Malaguzzi theory, it said "environment is the third teacher". If children are given the beautiful and stimulating materials to work with, and allowed to work in an environment that is well organised and maintained, then they will in turn maintain and respect their environment. Thus, I will keep developing my practice to give the children the opportunity to explore and express themselves. Moreover, since I understood the magical importance of the sound and movement, I will put it on my daily practice to let children move their bodies through different sounds. Big brother palm: "Welcome to our Park. Let's follow us to explore this area. We hope you stayed safe."

Mummy palm: We have lived here for long long time... We were looking the development of the Park, we saw people came and left. We listened to all the stories of human and non human. We wondered if the human also listen to us?

I replied: I am so sorry, I don't really listen to you guys as it was hard for me to focus while I chose putting my earphone on when I did exercise in the park.

Daddy palm: We all know that! But thank you for taking care for us. We can't read the human thought but we still can see we are looked after by nice people. It makes us very happy. 

I replied: Thank you for everything your family did for our life. I would like to pay my respect for you. I had a very nice talk.
