Low-income households with unstable or inadequate income struggle with their finances. Unexpected crisis such as retrenchment or sudden illness could upend the family financial situation overnight. In particular, the elderly, those with chronic health issues, and/or those with multiple dependants are at greater risk of financial distress.
ComCare is a key social assistance scheme in Singapore’s social safety net which provides assistance for low-income households who need financial help.
ComCare provides monthly cash assistance to help cover basic living needs and assistance with household bills and medical expenses. Based on the families’ needs and circumstances, the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF)’s Social Service Offices (SSOs) will also facilitate access to other relevant services and support by government agencies and community partners. In FY 2018, ComCare assisted 37,436 low-income households.
Social workers from various social service agencies also work with low-income families under assistance to better manage their finances by assessing their needs and wants. With continuous engagement, they co-create solutions with families themselves and identify resources needed to realise their hopes and vision.
</sup>

Hence, project Green Ribbon's aim is to give voice to the unheard youths and be a community of support, giving hope through creating a presence in society.
Project Green Ribbon (PGR) is a non-profit organisation (not by government) dedicated to empowering youths to discuss struggles and mental health, by growing a community who understands and disrupting social norms, so as to make support seem more simple and humane.
It allows youths to be able to feel as if people are able to understand them. As a lot of people have a stigma against mental health in Singapore, PGR represents the unheard to speak on mental health to drive positive change, and through making it real to more people, we help them understand what mental health really means.

Individuals are more important in the needs of society.

On one hand, organised groups are able to have the funds and requirements to supply such needs to the society, and could have more knowledge on what is needed by them. When there's too many people in organised groups, it's harder for society to keep up with them as there are many different opinions and statements listed.
However, some individuals are more relatable with society and are able to listen to them better. Individuals are able to show empathy and other values more openly compared to organised groups. They know what's happening in the foreground of the situation. For example, family and friends are capable of handling those around them better compared to organised groups, and have past knowledge on certain others, making it easier for the needs of society.

Organised groups are more important as they have more people and can get more things done quicker as a group than as a single individual, which is more effective and has a bigger impact on the community. Organised groups also have more resources available, and this will allow them to accomplish larger and more impacting projects. However, it is harder for larger groups to focus on the many smaller issues within the community, and this allows individuals to help solve the problems before they become a huge issue. This way, it is easier to tackle the problems within the community and minimise rising issues.

sus

I think both organised groups and individuals are important in contributing in today's society. In my opinion, organised groups can group people together and do meaningful things for the society. For example, a group of people came together and sew handmade cloth masks out of old clothes and gave it to elderly at the community centre. Individuals are also important because individuals in Singapore can do their own part in letting the awareness of social-distancing by posting posts on Instagram and Facebook. Therefore, i believe that both organised groups and individuals play a role to contributing to today's society by helping each other.

Organised groups and individuals are equally important. Individuals play an essential role in contributing to the requirements of society through volunteering their time, effort and money towards meaningful social causes they care about.
Organised groups are also equally important as citizens with common interests organise themselves into groups to contribute towards the needs of society. Both groups volunteer themselves and using their effort for the better needs of society, are henceforth equally important.

Both are organised groups and individuals and equally important. Although organised groups have bigger plans than the individuals
. The groups are made out of individuals with the same common interests. Individuals help the society by contributing their CPF, they also help volunteer at orphanage,old folks home an residential area for elderly that are living alone by donating food,necessary and money to the orphanage,old folks home to give them a better life.When visiting the residential area of elderly living alone,we,individuals can visit the elderly to give them necessaries for their daily lives,help to clean up their house for a better environment for them to live in and chatting with the elderly to let them feel companied. Hence all this individual's actions we do to contribute to society is as equivalently important as organised groups. Organised groups have a larger plan to help to the society for example making mask for people in need during covid times or long term goals like helping people with mental issues and also workers rights.

In our opinions, organised groups definitely can play a more important role than individual groups because the contributions which the individuals do for the community is obviously limited. They may be picking up litter in the park but there is still a lot more of where that came from around the park and more people would still litter again. Therefore, their contributions of picking up litter is basically useless and would not leave a HUGE impact on the community. However, for organised groups, they have a bigger group to help support their efforts and for formal groups, they have the government to support them. Not only that but because of their huge member count as organised group, they would be able to make a bigger difference than the individuals. They also have clear cut goals which are very specific as compared to the individuals which might just be doing it as a way to bond with their family or just to have fun. Another reason I think that organised groups are better than individuals because they would most likely support your issue or problem/ their own ones rather than the public's ones. However organised groups do not only think about your needs or their own as why they are doing it but based on everyone's needs and issues that needs to be faced that they would go and act on it.
