Topic: Body Language in a interview.

Educational context: level 5 further education.

Target learners: Further education students studying a level 5 in Education and Training in Whitehall College Of Further Education.

Learning Design Approach: ABC learning design.

Timing: 60 minutes to 90 minutes session.

Session learning outcomes:

At the end of the session, students will able to:

1. Identify a good and bad types of body language in an interview.
2. Discuss the types of body language to do during an interview.
3. At the end of the session the students will be able to preform mock interview.

Aim: Introduce the topic of body language in an interview.

Start by asking the students what they know about the importance of body language in an interview in Padlet. give an overview of the importance of body language on Google Slides.

Timing: 15–20 minutes.

Resources: Padlet and Google Slides.

2. Investigation Activity.

Aim to find examples of positive and negative body language in an interview.

Watch a video of positive and negative body language in an interview. The students will be able to recognize both positive and negative body language in the video. The answers will be posted on Padlet.

Timing: 15 minutes.

Aim: The whole class will discuss everyone's answers that were answered on padlet.

Timing: 10 minutes.

Aim: To recognize different body language expressions during an interview.

Start showing the class the different types of body language, such as good posture and eye contact. Also, show a video example of a good interview.

Timing: 10 - 15 minutes.

5. Practice and collaboration.

Aim: To do a mock interview by using good body language.

An activity where the students will do a mock interview by reading the questions I have uploaded, and the students will submit a video to an email.

Timing: 5–10 minutes.

6. Wrap and check knowledge.
