The UAE has one of the highest rates of obesity, diabetes and heart disease in the world, but the reasons for this are unclear. Until now, there have been no studies done in the UAE which can give us reliable answers as to why these diseases are so common in UAE Nationals.
Study Aim

Identify the causes of the rise in non-communicable diseases amongst the people of the UAE. The UAE Healthy Future Study gathers research efforts in building a healthier future for you and for many generations to come.
Scientific Significance

As a first national cohort study in the United Arab Emirates to provide scientific evidences for factors leading to the spread of common diseases in society, the UAE Healthy Future Study is playing a key role in disease prevention; it will benefit the UAE, as well as the Arab world.
