Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born in Mveso, South Africa the 18th July of 1918. He grew up in a village Thembu and after that, he began to study and after that he got in to the organization ANC where he was called The Pimpernel. He got 7 children and was married with 3 women. He died the 5th December of 2013.

·      He was born on the 18 July 1918 in Mvezo a small village in the Umtata-district 

·      His fathers name was Gadla Henry Mphakanyiswa. He died from tuberculosis when Nelson was 12 years old. His mothers name was Noqaphi Nosekeni.

·      At the age of 7 he was sent to school where a teacher gave him the English name Nelson.

·      When he was 16 years old he went to Clarkebury Boarding Institute where he learned about the west culture.

·      After three years at Clarkebury he transferred to Wesleyan College in Fort Beaufort.

·      When Nelson graduated from school he became a lawyer with his good friend Oliver Tambo.

·      Nelson started cooperating with the ANC and they did demonstrations.

·      After his fights against the white government, he became the first black president in South Africa.

·      He died on the 5 December 2013.

 

Nelson Mandela was born in Mvezo, South Africa. He worked for a family. During the day he work, but at night he would study. 

It was thanks to Nelsons friend named Gaur, who took Nelson under his wings and showed him around, it was through Gaur that Nelson came to know so many ANC people. 

He had a wife, who he had three kids with, but when things started to go bad for Nelson she left him, and took the kids with her. Later he found his second wife, she shared his points of view, and they agreed upon that they had to do something against the discrimination against the black people in Africa.

Before he got into prison, and became a president, he went to the university and got a degree. With his friend Oliver Tambo Nelson opened a law firm, in a white area. It caused that many police officers, tried to discriminate him into leaving. They took papers and would sometimes come barging in at random times, demanding that Nelson would come with them, it resulted in that Nelson lost many of his clients, but he still stood firm. 

 

Later Nelson became a member of the ANC; he trained in how to lead an army, and how to make actions against the white government. 

 

One day the white government caught him. After his trial, he got sent away to a prison. He got sent to various prisons, but the total time he was in prison was 27 years. In 1994 he became the first black president of South Africa. Mandela died in the age of 95.
