German speaking Austria was the most powerful state in the holy Roman empire. During the Napoleonic wars a German Confederation was formed, though it was ineffective of stopping the rivalry between Prussia and Austria. In 1833 the Persians formed a sovereign, customs in which it gradually expanded and tied the economies of some German states together and away from Austria. The new empire Germany took Alsace Lorraine from French and went on to be the dominate power of Continental Europe. One of the founding fathers for Italy was Camillo Benso.

There were no real calls for unification that is until Napoleon came along and invaded Italy, he created the Kingdom of Italy in the North. However when he was defeated Italy reverted back to independent states. This is how it was until the Revolutions of 1848 swept across Europe in Milan and Venice, the revolutionaries rose up against the Austrians. During Italy's unification, the three founding fathers were Mazzini, Cavour, and Garibaldi. In the beginning of the unification Italy's government was not stable. To stabilize the democracy, they went to war to claim more land surrounding Italy.

John believed his presence in Brazil stopped any independence movements. Brazil was then raised to an equal partner in the Empire forming the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil, and the Algarve's. Between late 1821 and early 1822, the war of Independence in Brazil started and ended 2 years. The founding father of Brazil in 1822 was Dom Pedro I. In 1824 Pedro dismissed Bonifacio and after months of debate over the constitution he send troops into the Constituent Assembly and dissolved.

Camillo Benso was born on August 10th 1810 and died on June 6th 1861. His family included of 2 sons and a wife. Camillo expanded Piedmont with annexation of Lombardy and Vienetia rather than a unified Italy. Among his family, Camillo heard the great issues of the day being discussed: the internal politics of France under the restored Bourbons, the revolt against Turkish repression in Greece, the liberal Decembrist rising in Russia in 1825. He showed his sympathy, in his usual enthusiastic manner, with the liberals and with personalities such as Benjamin Franklin and Santorre di Santarosa, the famous ill-fated leader of the 1821 revolution in Piedmont, who was also a distant relative.
