         <title>Why This Menu is Good for Your Toddler</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Toddlers should intake a variety of foods that total up to 1000 to 1400 calories per day. <br><strong>Milk: </strong>Milk is important in a toddler's diet, and they should consume an average of 2 cups per day, but milk can also reduce the effectiveness of iron absorption, which leads to iron deficiency in many toddlers, in cases where they consume too much milk. Therefore, milk and dairy consumption in this menu is limited to around 2 cups. Toddlers should either drink whole milk or 2% fat milk, depending on their recommended doctor diet and their growth.<br><strong>Fruits and Vegetables:</strong> Toddlers should have at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day in order to stay healthy. This menu includes either a fruit, vegetable, or both in all meals and snacks of the day.<br><strong>Sugar:</strong> Fruit juices and other sugar-filled foods and drinks should be avoided due to the excessive amount of sugar they contain and few nutrients. Homemade drinks and sweets are much healthier since you can control how much sugar is in the food and drink.<br><strong>Bread:</strong> Whole wheat bread is highly encouraged because it is much healthy and provides the most nutrients out of all the other bread types.<br><strong>Variety:</strong> Toddlers should be exposed to a variety of foods in order to find what they like and don't like. This menu does a good job in doing so, since it offers multiple different fruits, vegetables, meats, etc. Also, toddlers should be able to eat with the family, so at times, they should be eating the same foods everyone else is eating if the food is safe for them.<br><strong>Snacks:</strong> Snacks should be given in small portions throughout the day, two to three times. Too many snacks may lead the toddler to being unable to eat due to being full.</div>]]></description>
