For my Senior Summit I am creating a Podcast learning about production. My overall goal is to gain knowledge on pre and post production of video and audio learning to get familiar with programs to create a finished product.
I am doing this because I want to create an audience based of my life experiences and be able to share some of my life with the world also to learn how to get familiar with editing and creating new media.
This is important to me because in the future I would like to create short films on my own time to express myself and by doing this it helps me get comfortable being on camera and with the actual equipment itself.
What I potentially have here is a route to new media through video and audio podcast that I can create into a brand. This is something that's going to be on the side and it allows me to explore and interview people i've never met and learn something new about each person. In a fun way it allows me to be a journalist and challenge myself to dive deeper into what matter as humans beings. I want to be able to have a audience and show my fun side.
This is a stretch of my current knowledge because I've only listened and watched other content creators produce podcast and YouTube videos so now having to understand the technical side with no experience. It allows me to learn how to use editing software and get familiar about video production
A successful project looks like having at least a small loyal audience of 40 listeners and produce at least 8 episodes with one episode containing a filmed episode. Also to be able to at least have 500 downloads across all 3 of our platforms.

2/29/20- Before I actually can start making audio files i thought it would be smart to learn the two audio programs we will be using which is Audacity and Voice Meeter Banana. What I first did is plugged in all the mics to my PC and registered the devices to my PC. In audacity what I did was pre-set all the settings beforehand so I wouldn't have to set them every episode. I Then plugged in an external mic and opened up Voice Meeter and had my sister lightly tap on each mic to see if the audio was being recorded. After tapping and getting each configured my sister sat at 4 differnt places around our recording table in order to adjust the pitch of the microphones.
